SEEDS OF THE FUTURE.
When I think of a future I think: “beauty”. May beauty be known and appreciated .. Our country Italy has the largest legislation on environmental protection and is perhaps one of the countries most subject to attacks on the landscape heritage many times for absolute lack of awareness of the value of this heritage.
It is no coincidence that the present pandemic situation sees culture, entertainment, places for the protection of historical, artistic and archaeological heritage as forgotten aspects considered not falling within the economic categories indispensable to the country and therefore expendable ..
If I consider beauty part of me, if I am aware of its value it is almost useless to safeguard it and above all to legislate to affirm its importance. One of the things that amazes me about history is how during the twenty years there was a greater protection of the historical heritage than it is today. At the time the aim was to exalt the Roman civilization in order to relive the splendors of the imperial age and therefore its value for our tradition was exalted and this favored on the one hand the recovery of material, its conservation and protection and the discovery for example of Herculaneum and other important artifacts .. The thing that amazes me is that all of a sudden those ruins where sheep grazed or rubbish were thrown were no longer considered RUBBLE (here the war was said by a lady unaware of the past) but they were an Italian past to be proud of.
We have everywhere a heritage that our ancestors, with effort and joy, left us. But we are not completely aware of it ..
Examples like that of Matera which has awakened as a place of culture, which has invested in its own immaterial knowledge leading to the rebirth of the city are isolated elements. and educate school children so that they are the ones to become companions, proud guides of their own place.
SEEDS OF THE FUTURE. What does it mean? It means that in order to have a tall, strong, luxuriant plant it is necessary to sow the right seed in a suitable soil. We have already entered a large number of variables ..
Suitable soil = a soil that is fertile, that has the optimal characteristics to give nourishment, to ensure rooting, which provides support, anchoring, the presence of water without stagnation, which is also suitable from the climatic point of view, with a good exposure to sunlight, sheltered from the winds, with a favorable climate ..
Right seed = a healthy seed, potentially equipped with all the necessary baggage to take root and grow, to seek the light and the best support .. We have simply seen that many things are needed for the seed to generate a plant. It is also true that it was the plants, the plant world in the course of evolution that created the right environment in a continuous competition of mutual adaptations ..
Let’s go back to us and our seeds of the future .. Here and now the conditions exist to be able to think about a better future. Umberto Galimberti would say that in this our intent we are deeply inserted in the Christian culture that sees the future as a better place than the present of suffering and the past .. For me the future can be better only by being more aware of ourselves. Of our deep relationships with the environment, with everything around us. Our every choice produces effects on our surroundings.
In this era of “contagion”, forced closures, blocking of activities and mandatory distancing, we realize this every day. When I say every choice, it means that not choosing is also a choice. If I don’t take care of something, I delegate this task to someone else, confirming his choice .. This continuous commitment generates anxiety, an anxiety about having forgotten something, for having forgotten something “important”, fundamental and this sense of lack goes to work about that subtle sense of inadequacy that undermines my self-esteem .. Advertising amiably exploits this subtle dissatisfaction by providing adequate products to complete my world in a continuous chase to HAVE forgetting to BE ..
What can change our world if not education, if not the learning of awareness.
We have relegated education to the school stage where children are filled with notions as if they were empty minds to be filled with knowledge of knowledge already fully defined and ready to use, of products.
We don’t ask ourselves what they know, where they come from, what they want, what their culture is, what they aspire to, what dreams they have.
They are considered EMPTY containers to be filled.
It is necessary to instill the desire to know: Research, discovery, the possibility of inventing.
I like that Einstein quote that said:
We all know with absolute certainty that there are IMPOSSIBLE things to accomplish. Until someone who doesn’t know it comes along and invents them!
When Marconi carried out the transmission with radio waves over a great distance, the greatest physicists of the time were absolutely sure that the waves COULD NOT BE TRANSMITTED over a great distance! It was scientifically proven that it couldn’t work.
All this digression is intended to emphasize how the greatest commitment to the seeds of the future must focus on knowledge in a new paradigm of knowledge, of awareness, present to ourselves.
Psychoanalysis tells us that our actions are largely governed by the unconscious, the unknown of us, our submerged part of the iceberg of our self. THE conscious part is the small part that emerges out of the water.
The professor. Galimberti urges us to always try to know our unconscious a little more so as not to make choices, actions UNKNOWN!
This search to know oneself is to cultivate awareness, it is a daily job that in any case needs a first step, a beginning, a trigger.
I have found a way to work on myself: it is Humanistic Bioenergetics and the association I belong to wants to make this possibility known.
My desire is to spread this way that I myself have deepened and that has helped me and gives me a hand every day.
But here there is an obstacle, this PATH IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Not because it is the prerogative of an elite, of a group of initiates but for two simple reasons:
1. It must be chosen by the person, it cannot be “immediately”, chosen by others in our place, imposed.
2. It is a path that puts us in front of the most merciless judge that exists_ ourselves.
1. Faces our dark parts, the ones we DON’T WANT TO SEE. That really mirrors us and this is a fight for which we are not trained, which scares us more than to come out of the trench, bayonet in the barrel, and run towards the enemy. Here you really need courage.
My name is Giandomenico Pisano. I am an architect by training, I like beauty, especially if it is not just an external embellishment but is the result of a function, if it responds to deeper reasons that illustrate to me a culture, a thought, a goal that one intends to achieve.
I mean that a design, a design choice has motivations at its base, it has some reasons to which it intends to give answers.
By observing a building we can deduce, discover a lot of information and we can retrace its history, read it or leaf through it like an onion to recover its essence.
Real architecture can be read and reread a thousand times, rediscovering always different aspects.
In Humanistic Bioenergetics, the same thing happens, observing, studying people.
Each person through his own way of walking in the world, of breathing, with the bearing or way of presenting himself, of presenting his ideas, tells about himself, about his life path.
Alexander Lowen, the father of Bioenergetics, says that any problem is structured in our body and at the root of all problems, there is the fear of feeling alive, of feeling emotions.
Knowing this “dictionary” and its “grammar rules” allows you to bring help.
If we want to work on emotions, we need to work on the body. It is a long and demanding journey but it is worth it.
At some point in my life I was bad, very bad. The work was going very badly, I had abandoned my confidence in myself, in life and the problems had found a place in which to fix the bowel, creating irritable bowel syndrome. I was sick and being sick was going to destroy my daily life even more.
I embarked on the bioenergetic path in Parma at the school that Pino Ferroni, the creator of Humanistic Bioenergetics, had founded.
What purpose does it serve?
It serves to face oneself, not to seek solutions by freeing oneself from responsibilities, from reality.
It serves to investigate one’s unconscious through its choices, to discover the REAL motivations hidden behind each choice.
It serves to discover one’s dark sides, to face one’s self. Looking in the mirror takes courage. We are the best judges of ourselves but at the same time the most merciless: we do not accept excuses, justifications and the punishment that is imposed is always FINAL as if there was no possibility to improve.
What did Humanistic Bioenergetics give me?
Two very important things:
The inner smile, a smile that allows you to keep a warm inside that can withstand the coldest days.
The ability to wake up every morning happy to be and to go to work calmly, allows you to give meaning to every day.
After following the path, after having started to face some of my shadows with Claudia Tartara, we decided to create a branch of the School of Parma, a base of the Humanistic Bioenergetics School in Alexandria.
Pino Ferroni is the person who created the Bioenergetic Shen Treatment Method. Pino had studied communication at the Palo Alto School in California, United States and had attended the Taoist master Tchao and studied Traditional Chinese Medicine.
On the strength of this experience, having learned Bioenergetics from Alexander Lowen’s pupils, he decided to exploit a synthesis of Western and Eastern knowledge.
After years of studies, analysis, comparisons and experiences, he developed the foundations of Humanistic Bioenergetics, a body mediation method based on the intuition that if the psyche is able to modify our body by acting on the body, it is possible to work on the psyche. .
When he managed to develop this method of approach to existential malaise and began to have excellent feedback, he decided to create a center to train operators able to help him and to be able to transmit the essence, the bases, the concepts and above all the modalities, these aspects that cannot be transmitted only through theoretical study.
Claudia and I have had the privilege of attending the Parma School at different times at the cost of difficulty, of shifting commitments.
By rethinking these aspects, we have tried to bring the potential of the Pino Ferroni School closer to our areas and needs.
The center of Alessandria became a center affiliated with the School of Parma and for some years it constituted one of the three centers around the world where Humanistic Bioenergetics is learned. The Green Mountain Shen center which is based in Vermont (USA), the center of Milan and us.
In June 2018 the charismatic figure of Pino Ferroni disappears, the Parma School begins to face a series of difficulties that with the pandemic lead to the closure of the Parma Mother House while the center of Milan decides to face the general crisis by shifting its interests towards a holistic approach.
In March 2018, after years of work and spreading the method, we manage, with 6 other people to found the Association for Social Promotion Shou Kua — The Loom of Life and we give life to a real center that in the Foundation Statute follows the objectives that the maestro Pino Ferroni had given to his Center.
